  • Finger detangle prior to co-washing by using your finger tips to separate sections of the hair or strands that appear to be tangled

Hair Care Tips for Closures

  • Closures are extremely delicate. As a general rule it is important to take extra care to prevent damage in the form of balding. Always use sulfate-free hair care products.

Shampoo/Conditioning

  • Shampoo using a sulfate and paraben free shampoo. No intense scrubbing or combing when washing. Use a good conditioner to keep the closure smooth and tangle free. Then use a deep conditioner to repair the cuticle and restore shine. Allow closure to air dry.

Before Bed

  • Use a silk scarf to wrap your hair while sleeping. This will prevent your closure from movement at night and reduce friction.

Styling

  • Brush the closure with a wide tooth comb softly. Brush the hair gently from the ends as you work your way up to the root. Hold the hair at the root while combing to avoid balding.

Coloring

  • Closures can be colored or dyed. We recommend that you enlist a professional. You may bleach the closure. However, do not oversaturate it with the solution. Also, make sure you use the correct developer. We recommend 20 to 30 volume. The mixture should be really thick and all the baby hairs should be brushed or pinned out before you begin the bleaching process.
